thanks Chance....but we don't have the RGRS gears, made by Rockhopper..... we have the "SUMO 6.1" gears made in England by a racing gear maker.....ours are lower in high range than the other gears out there. They have made 7.5's five years ago, and 4.1 Suzuki gears along with Toyota gears...but we are only marketing the 6.1's right now. Dave

Thanks for the clarification Dave.
These our the Rockhopper Gears. They're cut from new billets, nothing is splined, pinned , welded or keyed. Reduction 6.129. There available from Rocky Road and Roadless Gear. |

just trying to get along....nice pix! I didn't know RRO was marketing these....oh great..Glenn will be jumping all over me too! j/k your 6.1's are not the same gears as we have....and with the difference in high range that should make more choices to the guys looking to go low....I hope eveything is cool between us? we are going to be testing our gears in the USA next weekend at the Arizona Jeep Jamboree....I'll be sure to let ya know how they work.

I paid $850 for my 4.1 case. $1150 for a 6.1 case is a sweet deal!! Anyone want to buy a 4.1 t-case with less than 5000 miles?????

I heard that! My friend wants a GRSII.... I might sell him mine and go for the 6.1:1! Would 24% high range reduction with 5.13's in the axles be too low for 32's on the street?

I'm all for low gears but that would be a little excessive for 32's. I have 5.89's and 35's with a stock case and it can handle driving on the street. it's slow but sammi's arent really speed machines as it is. does anyone know the exact high range for both of the new 6.1 gearsets?

where's my calculator? 5 sets are going to be here Thursday the 18th and another 9 sets to follow in a couple weeks. I am going to try a set with my 5.12's and 33's (if the 35's don't come in)....at the AZ Jeep Jamboree this weekend. [ 10-16-2001: Message edited by: Arizona Zuk ]
