DOes anyone have any info on strengthening their own t-case arms? I am trying to save some money if ya know what I'm sayin. What do you guys suggest? Should I just buy some new design or what?

you might try looking at the super ones and trying to make yours the same---its just braceing

it causes me great pain to say this but.... i got the beefy long arm from rocky-road. <IMG SRC="smilies/rolleyes.gif" border="0"> it's square tube with a plate that wraps around the back of the tcase and bolts to right around the driveshaft. granted it didn't fit... and he forgot to give me the bolts that were supposed to come with it. but i like the design and it's held up with no problems since i put it in. i am in no way recomending anyone even consider buying this roduct from rock-road. i would hate to think that i was helping keep glenn in buisness. instead i recomend you just copy the design (he probably did, right kevzuki <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">) and build one yourself as it would be very simple. as for the short side i still have to add some angle iron to it.

The easiest way to strengthen up the long side would be to take some 1 to 1.5 inch square stock and cut a piece to fit inside the arm. Either cut or bend that piece to fit the slight angle that it has. Then just weld that in place the full length. You can also add some flat stock to the bottom for a little bit more strength.

Basically just take some steel and weld it onto that sucker. Your main concern is to keep it from twisting, not bending. I bent mine on the long side towards the front of the vehicle (away from the tcase mounting bolts).

I twisted my RRO long arm at SOTR. My fabracator is in the process of designing and building a t-case crossmember to span the frame rails and tie both mounts together, much like Trail Toughs new mount with out the $200 price tag! Anyone in the SR area have a stock short arm???? Mine is to twisted to use. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

I haven'thad any problems with the long support just the short one-the reason must have to do with the tracker tranny.I beefed that(short side)with some 1/4 angle and thentook a broken stock mount,drilled a holeand mounted it on top(of the arm) so it tops out on the under side of the floor when it's stressed.

Zuk 88 looked for the short side, only have a long side. didnt get that hard top, but I'm wishing I did. Still looking for the right stocker.

I am definetely gettin a pair of those fawkers! Look damm beefy to me. I have always been impressed with spidertrax. That is a good price too, compared to trail toughs new design. Anyone else thinkin about gettin them?

Actually, our beefy arms are our own design. They're pretty cool and eliminate several other problems on top of twisting arms. Feel free to email me direct if you have any questions on them.
