My build up.

**UPDATED**


This is what it first started out as. I bought it with the flat deck, just welded the rear and got some 32" muds for it.




Last fall I broke something in the rear and decided that I had enough with the samurai axles and wanted a bit beefier for my heavy right.

It is in the shop, almost done, just a few small things to do here and there.

**PICS REMOVED BECAUSE OF GAY SERVER**

A factory soft top will now snap into place on the flat deck. The dual batteries are going in a box under the flat deck where the huge gap is. Wheel base is now 87" from 80".


-1985 Toyota front and rear solid axles
-Front trussed w/ rear samurai leafs
-Rear has track bar w/ rear YJ leafs
-Welded rear with 5.29 gears (Aussie locker to be going infront)
-O-Fields
-O-Square d-shaft
-custom rear d-shaft
-Custom steering
-Line-loc in the rear
-Flat deck lifted 6-8 inches, gas tank spun 90 degrees
-Battery box under the deck w/ Dual Optima red tops, 12v to 115v digital converter
-ProComp ES3000 shocks w/ Ford f250 shock towers
-33x12.5x15 Super Swamper TSL (Measured as 35's)



Target end date is 2 weeks before May Long. I will keep this updated.

I have a few other pics of the front fab work. Whenever I go to work on it, I never bring my camera. And when I do bring my camera I usually have to many sodas to remember to take pictures.

Front I am going to leave the TJ flares, and the rear is going to have conveyor belt flares and flaps. Under the deck is going to be lined with conveyor belt as well. The rear shackles are my only concern. We did not want to stretch the rear of the frame so we have the shackles at about a 45. Gonna test it out and see how she flexes, if it is fuct up because of it we will extend the frame.

With front CJ's in the rear, my shackles are at somewhere around 45° and they work very well IMHO. My front shackles (in reverse config.) are just about straight up and down and absolutely, totally, 100% suck.

I have a shackle reversal in the front. We will see with the rear how it works. I am hoping to be out in about 3 weeks *crosses fingers* I just wish I had deeper t-case gears. But with the "wife" and I getting married next year, this was the only funds that I was able to come up with.

I finally got it going last weekend. My fabricator and I worked on it for 23 hours, having 1 meal break at 9:30pm on Saturday. We got it out of the shop at 8:00am on Sunday and went and tested it to make sure everything works fine.


This would be the reason I upgraded




My prototype o-fields compared to others. I dont know which order they are in but the far left is the prototype. Others are Longfield, O-Field v1, and stock

That is all, I am sure I will have many more pictures to come. But I didnt stay long out wheeling, I was WAYYYY to tired and just wanted to hit the hay. Everything works well. Need to get a CV shaft for the rear and a new radiator.

Its a type of birfield. I will say its freakin beef. We had to grind out a bit on the short side of the housing to fit it in properly. But this is a known issue in the cast of toyota pick up front diffs. We do not have aproper measurement tool to measure the stress on the birf. All I am going to do is give it some practical abuse and see how she holds up.

I know Rich isgoing over for Island cup. I am heading up to Goldbridge for a little RnR. I do not have a cage yet so I cant try your crazy ass trails though.

Right on, I was going to enter but I cant buy the tow rig in time. Will probly watch them run the south island trails though.
