I started out with a 4.3/465/205 build running built jeep axles... but now after stripping out all my crap and after people telling me that jeep axles suck for the rocks i plan to do ..... well to day i just picked up a set of 3/4 ton chevy axles hd44/60 and i want to put tem under the sami...

where heres the problem... i already have skyjacker yj springs under the sami.. and i have to find another motor/tranny/transfercase combo to run. will the springs be ok under there???? and what motor/tranny combo would you use i have a toyota 22r and tranny/transfercase will they be good with the axles???? the axles have 4.10 gears tell me what you thank???

the setup you describe will work fine. I'd also throw a case doubler in there for good measure. Your springs should be good, but will have to be outboarded for the front. Biggest issue will probably be brakes, I'm going through that myself now. Can't seem to get the damn thing to stop consistently.think my front 60 is the culprit though. Jesse has a great flange to mate the toy shafts to the 60, he may have the 44 model now, I don't know.
