Rebuild and upgrade plans
Gents,
I am planning for a rebuild and upgrade on a LJ80 (I don't know the American model, so hence the piture) (this is NOT my car, just an example.) Anywayzzzz, I want to restore the body work, upgrade the engine to a carbt1600 8v Suzuki Tracker (??) engine (gearbox), and upgrade the suspention with Jimny Front and rear radius arms, coil springs and panhard bar in front and tail. This should result in a light vihicle with a smooth ride on the street, plenty power and great flex for a nice off road experience. Now the question: Has anyone done such rebuild/upgrade on this model car? What could be a pitfall? Any specific points to concider? Are there any pictures availble for such conversion on this model car? ![]() Would like lost of info before even buying the car.. Thanks ! Regards Auke
