I did not know that the Vitara with H20A V6 has ever been sold in the US. I always thought the V6 was introduced in the US with the Grand Vitara with 2.5l V6 H25A... Did you import the car or is it from the Suzuki dealer ship? Best regards, Norbert

The H20A is based on the Mazda KF engine although the Mazda runs timing belts while the Suzuki uses chains and the Mazda also came with a 10:1 comp ratio. The intake system is different too. Also have a look at the Suzuki 2.5 and 2.7 as some parts will be useable. You can even convert it to 2.5 or 2.7 if you wish to go that far. Yes, the H20A was offered in most other markets outside of North America.

Sounds like you will be paying a lot of money for the parts. Hope you still have a contact in Japan or a real nice dealernear you.

Have you changed you fluid in it. Try that first because they all start to wining when the fluid gets burnt.

you might try using synthetic tranny fluid to keep it from burning up so quick. I run full synethic atf+3 in my power steering because that is what I run in my Jeep tranny.
