stock TBI injector flow rate

Does anyone know how many cc the stock single injector in a 91 TBI setup flows? Working on a boosted setup and need to know if I should be running a secondary injector when the system hits .01psi. I have searched and found that it is a k-jetronic which is a Continous Injection System, just like the old VW's.

I don't know.. but I would like to read more about this. Where is yer source on that K-Jetronic stuff? I had no idea. Jetronic doesnt switch their injectors on and off? I thought the tBI did. Folks have used Megasquirt with the TBI I am purdy sure, and they switched it. Jetronic varies the fuel pressure to adjust mixture, right? Don't see any mechanism to do that with the TBI. I need to learn MORE! :-) Help! Help!

Sorry I think I messed up on it being a k-jetronic system. It looks like a few people switch over to the VW system (jetronic) to get MPI. But it is a CIS system.

I think I am going to run a secondary tbi injector at the top of the throttle plate being controlled by megasquirt type system. Its gonna be a homebrew computer as the schematics for megasquirt are readily avail. on the internet. Will cost about $50 to do it.

And I will run this to control timing retards

That MSD thing looks like a useful device.

On the CIS thing... I AM really interested in additional info. Can you provide a source for the comment that this is a CIS system?

I have a MegaSquirt kit and Stimulator, haven't used it yet. Think you'll pay more than $50 though. I am expecting to use the stock ECM for the 1600 8v TBI, but I guess it depends on what engine I ultimately get. I need something purdy soon.

All the megasquirt system is, is a bunch of caps, resistors and a main board. It seriously will cost $50. Like I said, it is NOT a CIS system. I found improper information.

I am going to run a 14b on a 1.6 8v TBI.

Oh, OK. I bought alla my stuff second-hand, but never used. It was originally sold as a kit. Maybe if you shop around you can do better than I, eh?

Is this a MegaSquirt number? I don't know 14b. I think mine is a ver 1.2 or maybe a 2.0... been a while.

I'd like to do the same if it works for you. Keep us updated when you start putting it together.

The megasquirt board and ECU are copywrited. They cost more than $50 in a "kit" format.

Are you using a TBI with a draw-through type system?

If you're doing blow-through, you'll need to consider the impact of that boost on a fuel injection setup that's at about 15psi at the injector.

If doing draw-through, why just megasquirt to fine a single injector? Have it drive the whole TBI.

You'll need a 1:1 fuel pressure regulator (keeps fuel refrence @ a constant PSI regardless of boost), atleast one more injector mounted before the throttle plate, an AIC (additional injector controller), and maybe water injection??

The additional injector may need to be run @ a higher pressure as the stock is a TBI injector and most additional injectors are MPFI injectors (38 or so psi vs. about 15).
