i noticed that the replacement tops they sell arent flush with the top of the windshield and they add a couple inches of height to the top and give it a look that i dont like at all, is it possible to take a old tin top off a zuk and put it on my 86?

OOOps. I answered the top question in your 'what do you think of this sammy i'm buying' thread. In my opinion the tops you pictured are the best looking of the convertible hard tops. There are uglier worse looking ones for sure. But a tin top doesnt come off the car. Without cutting it off anyway. A body man could prolly do it for you and make it fit your convertible but I wouldnt waste the time. You get used to the tops you pictured.

so in actuallity the tops that im grumbling about are actually the nicest ones? if thats the case then i think ill get one and just get used to it, dont get me wrong there nice but i just had to see if there were possibly any nicer ones u guys knew of, u know

Have you even bought a sammy yet? Wouldnt worry to much about rounding up a fiberglass hard top untill you have a sammy without one. Our sammy came with the good lookin top and you may also find one like that.
