yota axles/ hydro ?
im just wondering on yota axles , is it best to use a 6in ram or 8 in. I dont want to rip the knuckles off so im thinkin a 6 in but i also want to get the best turn radius as posible ... any input woudl be great

The best way is to measure ur steering travel at the tie rod (if that's what ur going to mount it to) measure from full turn left to full right. That will tell you ur min. ram travel needed from lock to lock. What kind of setup are u runnin? leaves? linked? I'm running a 6" and its to short with my linked setup. With links and longfields u can get upto 45 degrees of steering if you can get everthing to clear and a long travel ram.

Someone like PSC can custom adjust a larger ram to less travel for you, they did mine. You will run the risk of ripping the knuckles off the housing if you go to big and arent careful. With full hydro its hard to "feel" the steering. Jim

Use an 8" stroke ram and limit it yourself. A Jeep and Zuk I built, notice limits against the rod ends. No matter what ram you use, it'll need to be fine tuned to keep from ripping the knuckles off.

Surplus center, $189.00 double ended and $69.00 single. Here's a $69.00 one I used on a build, sorry hard to see.

After building several Toy front axle setups, high steer arms come in different lengths. So throws will vary.

Anyone arms you like better than anothers for the double ended ram setup? I had 4x4labs on golddigger but I never installed the ram. Jim

I forgot all about this. I have a New never used ram and mount kit with lines I bought from PSC for my Toy axle, It's a single endedram. I sent it to someone who kept it for a year and painted it orange I believe? (ive yet to remove it from the package) and return it to me because they couldnt afford it
![]() ![]() Its for sale if you are interested? I could have returned it for a refund before I was jerked off. Now it just sits here in a box. Jim
