right on i look forward to seeing more ideas im just not too impressed with most out there just a waste of metal on some id rather see a cage that adds minimal weight but provides good protection. i just started drawing up the rear ill post it soon

I use HREW on my cages but if I was to exo a hardtop and not be able to x brace I would go with DOM at the mininum .

here is the back im thinking that ill connect through the body for the side or maybe go down to the frame on it not sure just a general design still i need to make the top view and front also the hidden line tapering in toward body under door and out behind front tire and in front of back tire hard to understand but ill draw more so you can see

I think if you lengthened your bottom rocker and dropped the center side brace straight down, you would have a stronger vertical brace if you get inverted, but the angled brace you designed provides better latteral bracing if you dump it on it's ass. Not sure yet where the cross braces attach, but you definitely will need them or it would just fold on you in a side roll. It looks sharp though, maybe a perspective view would be good for visualization of some of the cross bracing.

Baratacus i was thinking a simmilar thing also but was thinking that if i have a tube running straight down in front and behind door which would be good points for tube doors also

Thumbs up

Right on man this is the single most bypassed step in a build and that is protection agianst dying. Not to mention there are some decent parts and pieces in there that are more likely to live with a cage protecting them too. Your design seems pretty straight forward.

all i did was import a side pic of the sami and scaled it to size then followed the lines.
Just get a refrence points to scale the pic and trace the out side of it and add the body lines and windows a good tip for it is use the circle command and then 3 point, trim the excess and there you go
