Oh heck original motor or not this thing is awesome. To find one in any type of condition especially from the southern Utah Desert is rare. Imagine what that thing will be worth in another 30 years even in that condition.

I don't know, I had a couple that were in much better shape than the one in the auction and I had trouble getting over $1200 for them. They are really cool though.

There was a guy in one 2 years ago when Trail Tough put on their annual run. It even had the stock 2 cycle motor and kicked ass!

Were your right hand steer? Did they have rust etc? Just curious what they were like.

I ran across a red one of these at the last event in Hot Springs. It only had a small roll bar in it if I remember correctly. The guy rolled it and crushed the windshield and front end. His hand was all bandaged up so I assume it was from the roll. I wish I would have snapped a pic.

Both were left hand drive and were running. They had very little, if any, rust. One was an LJ10 the other was an LJ20.

I had the lj on the trail tough run a couple years ago. with a stock 4 to1 and origial military style tires it made it to buck with very little trouble. they wheel great stock. I love it but it is a different love than my sammi on 40s a good condition running one will only fetch about $3500

The auction ended early. The original owner of the LJ contacted cblofty and he is going to return it to him. The guy who cblofty purchased it from never paid for it. That was 15 years ago and cblofty has had it for about 5 or 6. There was one on here last year that sold for about 6800.00 dollars amazing condition. I hear that the right hand drive fetch a fair amount more money than the left hand drive in the US. Anywho anyone sees a good one around let me know I would love to pick up a lj 10
