Damn it
Need help quick. Bought an axle withe spring over perches on it. They looked looked like hell. We cut them off and in our natural light consuption we failed to measure the old spring pin center to spring center distance. We think we have it close but not sure. Any info asap would be great. Thanks

just drive the 3 miles. or measure your springs. you can measure from the center of one spring to the center of the other right at the main eyes. compare that with the same measurement at the shackle end. if they're the same, as they should be, then it's the same in the middle, too.
. now that you can get the number, you still have to center up the axle under the rig. you can measure from the back of the brake backing plate to the side of the perch on each side to make sure they're the same and the axle is centered. |

If your too lazy to drive 3 miles for the measurement, thenI guess it's pointless of telling you to take a few minutes to search in the FAQs.
![]() Best of my memory, as it's been close to 3 plus years, I believe it's 28 1/4" for a samurai axle, and 29" for a Toy axle. * * Said poster makes no agreement with said readers as to this information being accurate, and any attempts to use this measurement is at said reader's own risk.
