Neat trac bar mounting with those flex joints. Looking forward to hearing your driving/trail review after you get some drive time.

So far very happy. I have done some on road testing and also some full trottle climbs. I was somewhat worried about anti squat, but I had to mount it where I did. It does not raise or lower the suspension any. I had some torque steer that now is completely gone. Im not sure how or why

Since I had to fit a smaller muffler it sounded like it had a tuba stuck on the end of the exhaust Picked up a cheap muffler, smallest I could find.

Cut it in half, two chambers.. perfect

Just clamped it on the end, I`ll stick the other half on right after the header later and weld it all up. But at least it doesnt sound so fucking stupid for now

Nice additions Shu.

These engines can sound either really good, or really bad depending on the condition of the exhaust lol. It looks like yours sounds good now

I love your rig, it just keeps getting better and better. Way to build a Zook Shu

Thanks man, say goodbye to your fenders

I did some sand wheeling this weekend, a lot of trottle with 2wd. Traction bar perfected perfectly . But the rear OME spring is sagging again, I`ll order a new one

You'd want yota diffs. Then there's the mission of getting the front to work SPUA. I'm trying to figure this out myself.

thanks, it sound allright, but loud. I got it inspected last weekend, and it went through w/o any remarks. Just the exhaust, it was too loud but he let it pass

I got a syncpro a while back and started to sync the gixxers. It went all fine until I tried adjusting the last carb, the idle was set by this carb and not the idle screw. It revved up and sucked the syncpro dry Collected enough fluid to fill one chamber and adjust it somewhat driveable

Later I overfilled the chambers with new fluid, leaving little air to expand, therefore allowing higher vacuum from the engine. worked perfectly and I can rev it all I want with the syncpro attached. I also installed a new battery , as the poles was too close for comfort to the hood

Shu, you have one of the nicest zuks out there!
Congrats.

I like the part of keeping it SPUA.
I'm doing mine also SPUA but with 31''...

And I have a set of Toy LJ70 axles but when I put them in I think I'll have to go SPOA...
Hi-pinion front with SPUA would be a PITA.
But I have to test it first

hey man, killer thread! i'm building a low budget, low height Tin Top as well. do you have any threads on pirate4x4.no for your motor build or previous iterations of this rig? i tried looking around (and saw some really neat shit) but was wondering about yours in particular...

if you have the links, Google chrome translator is not that good with Norwegian.

Thanks guys, it`s fun this inspires others

Most info is here, but it is scattered all over build thread at pirate4x4.no

I ran a 16v block with 8v head, switched the head to a 16v head and did not want to bother with FI. Saw the kit samuraiguy had for sale but he never delivered. Got tired of waiting and threw my own setup together by trail and error.

here are a few pics of the basic, if you want info, just ask
