Broken t-case. Will spine help?

This weekend I broke the shit out of my t-case.

This is in a married setup with a kicker3. The t-case is mounted using a mighty kong.

My question is do you guys think that a spine may have prevented this from happening?

Spine

My idea is to purchase a spine and then fab up a "spine" for the front output cover and tie the two together and possibly into the mighty kong. What do you think?

not knowing anything else - I'd say there was a problem with your front drivehaft or you hit the output on something.

No contact on the front shaft and shaft is straight. This was a case of me getting way to hard on the loud pedal.

A spine will not help you with the way you drive.

Yeah, see, when it starts bouncing, that means you should stop. All bouncing does is break parts...as you found out. It is pretty impressive breakage though.
To stop from breaking parts, I would recommend using some common sense when wheeling......it's cheaper and easier than upgrading parts.

I really don't usually get that dumb with the skinny pedal. This is my first major breakage other than axles in 3 or 4 years and I get out almost every weekend.

A cheering crowd and a whole bunch of video cameras coupled with the fact that I really want that line and have been denied on it a few times now caused a whole bunch of stupidity to happen on my part.

I usually back out and try a different way after one good bump.

You can't expect a aluminum cast housing not to break from idiotic abuse like that. You can mash the peddle hard and most things will hold but once the vehicle starts bouncing like that you get three hops and you should have put the clutch in or back off the throttle. Also why does everyone try to climb straight up shit? Why not hit it at a angle? You got all the weight on the back and the front has shit. Besides its more ballsy and fun to do a line like that. Go ahead get a spine your hitting that case hard enough to crack internals. And here I'll even post up its not as steep as what your hitting but its the only thing I have on youtube and I didn't hop the rear end doing it. I know I sound like I'm talking crap to you but actually I'm just hoping you smack your head and learn rule number one of wheeling "IMO" and thats no more than two hops or the bad "ping" sound happens and the rest of the wheeling trip is usually horrible for everyone who spent a couple a hundred of bucks getting there in gas. time, food, and supplies.

Man, that was some serious rock humping! Awesome looking Sami buggy.

I gotta think a spine would help, but dunno if it would have prevented that explosion!

Z.O.R offroad has a new transfer case mount that has more mounting points. that would make a great way of holding the case better.
