Which Corbeau Seat Fits
I have an 88 zuk samurai and I am looking to put some suspension seats in it. Which ones fit and work the best in the small zuks? I probably need them as wide as possible too. I am 6'5" 270lbs. I currently have my stock seats relocated back about 6" to the rise in the floor board. I am looking for Corbeau, MasterCraft, PRP, etc. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

I had the Corbeau RS in mine and they were a tight fit. I sold those and am going with some PRP premiers. I cut out the stock mounts and mounted them as low as they would go to help clear my internal cage. Sounds like you are going to need a 2" wider seat to fit comfortably and I dont think those will fit.
Here is a pic of the 2 corbeaus in mine. The sides were right against the doors/targa and there was around 4" inbetween where the tcase shifters are. I guess if you modified the shifter you could get the seat closer together in the middle. It would be pretty cool if a 44" bench would fit in there http://prpseats.com/Products/1-standard-bench.aspx

Maybe the PRP Roadster could be a option. Without the deep sides you would have more wiggle room. They are 19" wide but you can order them wider. Without the high sides they might be more comfortable whena bit wider. Plus with PRP you can order whatever colors etc you want

I have the PRP roadster's in my '88 sami. To me, they are for small people. I'm 5'5" less than 140lbs and they fit me just fine. My butt is edge to edge and I'm held in nice.
The sides (raise up about 3") have a "tube" that a wide butt would find hard to sit on. The (covered) tube to tube in the seat is about 16" inside to inside. My butt pattern in the seat is 14 1/2" and that shows on the bolsters. The flat seam to seam at base of seat back is 10". 19" is outside to outside and is missleading imo. They are real comfy seats just do not think they will fill needs of someone 6'5" 270 lbs. Earl |
