Thats a sweet ass rack man! Are you going to use bungee cords or just one rachet strap to hold the rubbermaid bins in the rack?
Also when installing the limit straps did you allow for them to stretch any?

I think I will get a piece of aluminum bent into a pan and flip it over on top of the lids. This way we can rachet strap them with some force without making the lids mess up. I allowed for a inch or so stretch for the straps but also ordered the straps a bit smaller then the max droop. The fronts go from eye to eye on the coilovers and the rears go from the bottom coilover mount to half way up the frame. What I did for the rear frame mount was take some 2" x 2" x 3/8" flat bar and drill a 1/2" hole in the centre. I then welded a nut to one side and hole sawed a hole in the frame big enough for the nut. Stuck the flatbar nut side in the frame and welded her up. I will take some pics of the setup later (pissing raining outside)

True. Couldnt you use a muffler clamp or two along with the hose clamps?

I'm back just playing catch up with life. Sammy did really well. I think I was about 2200 miles in 8-9 days. No breakage or dents. We left with a gear whine at high speeds which turned out to be a bad pinion bearing in the rear but it made it home alright. Ultimate Adventure was a long week but it was really awesome and i met some great people
Wheelbase is 107"

Trip was the beginning of July
![]() Here are some pics that I have uploaded. Here is a brief summary. We started in Redmond, Oregon, then Washington, Idaho and Montana. We wheeled some great trails, camped on some beautiful private properties (one place had a rad outdoor kitchen and kegs of ) Had a lunch and toured the Warn winch factory with Jessie Combs, drove from Montana to Idaho over a great mountain range. Some many stories with some great people

Next we headed up and over Mt Rainer and headed to Mose Lake to visit the sand dunes. I had never been to the dunes so I was pretty stoked. Another cool thing about UA is you never take the easy route. Rick takes you off the main path and you get to see some cool scenery. At this point we were on our second long road day and had aleady been over Mt. Hood, Mt St Helens and now Rainer.
