I've been considering your 160PI. While reading over your warranty I found a part that doesn't seem to make any sense. Is this a typo?

The repaired or replaced product is covered for the remainder of your warranty period from the initial purchase date. Example: If you purchased a plasma cutter with a 5-Year warranty and you you’re your unit for repair after two years, you will still have one 1-Year on your warranty period.

You are absolutely right. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. It really should be, if you purchase a unit, it is under a 5-year parts and labor warranty. So if you have a problem with your unit in 2 years, you have another 3 years on your warranty left, not one. Thank you.

well I couldnt be more pissed off right now.


I bought the Force Cut 50d a few months back.

I have used it a total of 3 times.

THE DAMN THING JUST BLEW UP

I am literally on my first set of consumables. I love the way it cuts. It seems to have plenty of power but this is not acceptable.

Sure....it has a 5 year warranty but if I have to send it back after every 3 days of using it....all I have is a warrantied box of shit.

Of course its saturday and they arent open. I hope they get this resolved VERY quickly. I have shit to do.

I will email them now and I will keep everyone updated on how they handle the situation.

I apologize for your machine blowing something inside and experiencing a failure. We hate when this happens to our customers, but as these units are mass manufactured it does happen. Our warranty does cover you for the 5 year term. We will gladly look at the unit for you, fix it, and have it sent back.

For your inconvenience, we can offer you a discount on any future purchase of tips/electrodes, etc. You will need to contact one of our girls in the office and get an RMA going or provide us with your order info so they can call you. . Per LONGEVITY warranty, after 30 days, we do not cover shipping and handling for repairs, but we will cover all parts and the labor cost for your repair.

I got the rma.


I think its rediculas i have to pay shipping. This obviously is a defective unit and not my fault. Now i have to pay to ship it to you and back? my only fault is not using it within the first 30 days.

I wish it was the first month so i could just get a refund.



I was told 2-3 weeks to get it fixed if it isnt a "easy" fix.


I need to weigh my options and decide if its worth it to me to send it back. If i pay for shipping, get it back and it blows up again within 3 uses............uhhhg. I will not keep doing this for the next 5 years

Again, i hate to see this happen to our customers. As advertised on our site and past customer experiences on here that also had issues, we do not cover shipping after 30 days - you purchased in March i believe. However, if your defective unit is not repaired properly or say it comes back to you and again fails within 30 days of you using it, we will cover return and replacement shipping so we give you a 30 day buffer to fully test it out.

If you are not happy with this particular model, we also offer upgrade options to other models. It seems you were happy with the performance until the unit failed so I feel it is best we try repairing it quickly for you!

I just dont use this machine that often. 30 day buffer it might get used 3 or 4 times. If I have another issue it will most likely be after that period.

The reason I went with a cheaper unit than a big name unit is I just dont need it that often.

But when I need it.....it needs to work.


I guess I need to sign up for your forum and see how many other people are having issues. Sounds like it might be a pretty big epidemic???

I do understand your frustrations. And it is troubling and also disappointing for me to learn you have only had it for so long before it gave you problems. I Highly, No i am ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE you wont hear from them with updates.

I have a 256pi and i used it about 5 times tig welding steel, first time i tried to plasma cut, it cut about 14" and stopped working. Of course it was after 30 days. They have it about a month., and i havent herad a peep, just like the 5 months waiting for a cart and cooler

Middle of a major project and no welder and no help unless you want to PAY THEM for a rental unit till yours get fixed, if. I heard lots about customer service from longevity, apologies are just not what i consider customer service.

Would love to get it back someday, maybe even weld with it.
