[B]For anyone who purchases a Portaband mount from me they can also purchase a 120V maintained foot switch. I have used daily in the shop for the past 10 months with out any complaints.

Just released.

Bolt on Portaband miter gauge attachment.

Accepts the industry standard 3/4' x 3/8' miter gauge slide, and can be bolted on the right of left hand side of either Portaband table I sell.

Helps keep your strait cuts strait and your miter cuts repeatable & consistent.

If you purchased a Portaband table from me in the past and your table does not have two mounting holes on the side your will need to drill (2) 3/8" holes, per side.

Take a look at the attached YouTube video.

Take a look at the picture below. The distance from the top guard mounting screw to the bottom screw is 3.21"

A non deep throat Milwaukee porta band is hard to come by, chances are its a deep throat.

Thanks for the info, i will measure mine tomorrow and see. With my luck it will be the shallow throat . But if its the deep one, you can expect an order from me! Is there any sort of Pirate discount like free shipping or anything? Just curious Thanks!

This item does fit in a flat rate shipping box so shipping will not be a killer.

fuck yeah!!!!

the older shallow saws are very very easy to spot, they will ony cut about 1-1/2" deep and end cut only 1" L for any bigger diam.

edit: since you are making these plates how about the hook to turn it into a chop/cut off aswell?

x2 ... The only one they have on the market now is about $250 and uses a shitty locking chain thing as a vise.

I have spent an honest 40 hours designing, drawing, and prototyping a bolt on kit for the Portabands, that would allow you to use it as a chop saw and or a band saw. However there is just too much wander in the blade, it makes a great cut one time, then wonders the next time.

I will not sell a kit unless it can out perform the typical abrassive chop saw in a straight line cut
So what I am saying is, don't hold your breath waiting for me to create a kit.

Is the unit creating that blade wander, or your base? I assume since you have spent alot of time designing it and your other product looks top notch, that it's the unit.. But I just can't see the blade moving that much.
Anyway, if you do create one, I'm sure you'll have a billion orders.

Just got mine in the mail...fast delivery! I mounted up the portaband and man, that is a great, simple design. Nice job guys, well worth the $'s from what I can tell!

tomorrow I'll weld up the sq tube too, I definitely think it'll work better 90 degrees in the vice that way...

I ordered up one of these and I don't even have a porta-band I am bidding on one on Ebay though...fingers crossed.
No more cutting brackets with an angle grinder for me, It'll be nice to zip some out with this set-up.
