Pro4 $699.95 + s/h $55 = $754.95

Pro4 $699.95 + s/h $55 + 1.5" Die $204 + Die s/h $35 = $993.95

Can you use both JD dies and pro-tools dies, or just one or the other?

Price on the pro-4 w/o base and (JD)1 3/4 die 180*.

You can only JD2 die in the JD2 Version (Pro4-JD2) Also we do not offer JD2 dies sets. You will have to contact them for the die. The Pro4-JD2 Bender w/ Base will run you $754.95.

**Note** The "Free" Digital angle finder only applies to the Pro4 and Pro4 (Pro Tool Version) "Not the JD2 Version"

Any reason, benefit to choosing the JD2 version over the PT version, or vice versa?

Wanting some reviews just like everyone else.. I like this thing, but i don't like how it turns on/off, and that there's no degree wheel on it to know what angle ur at. Got a fix for that?

So the only difference between the pro3 and pro4 is the bender material thickness? Will they both only bend up to .120 ID? Or will the pro4 do a bit thicker?

Having built a full hydro bender before using a JD2 setup plus parts from northerntool, this setup is slick and much cheaper. I did electric over hydraulic so it was self contained but it cost twice as much as this.

Not sure what the need for reviews is. the benefits of the design prove themselves in the video. since the cad drawings for the stock bender "arms" are widely available and the dies come from Pro Tools or JD2 there really isn't anything to go wrong with this setup. worse case is that he supplies a cheap air over hydraulic ram so perhaps posting a brand name and warranty for that would help people?

Looks like an awesome design to me. As far as the degree wheel the JD2 units just bolt a degree wheel off the bolt that holds the die.
You can get a degree wheel kit from JD2 for 79 bucks.

I sold my hydraulic bender setup with 2 dies for $1500 used and if I need a bender again I'd get this one for less than a grand with dies.

Great design. Good luck with sales.

whypave-

Thanks for the input. I have looked for a alternative rams but most are way out there on price. You can buy 3-4 of my style rams for the same price that you can get a name brand for. Beside I buy so many of them that if there is a manufacture defect. Send it back and I will get you a new one. Its not a big deal. The bender was designed for a small shop or the guy in their garage at a price point they can afford.

You turn the ball valve no / off. That allows the air to get to the pump on the ram.

You do not need a degree wheel. You can use a degree finder which is more accurate. They only have a degree wheel on the manual bender because the angle finder will not work going side ways. Only up and down.

As for the .120 wall they will both do it but if you are wanting to do over a 1 5/8" you might want to get into the Pro4. It is almost twice as strong as the Pro3. I have done 1.90 on the Pro4. I am not sure if I would try that on the Pro3.

Hope this info helps.

I'm in the market, and I like it but, I'm curious...

Does it have some device to stop it to make repeatable bends? If I missed something, forgive me, this will be my first experience with a tube bender.

Great question. I do have a 6 position stop for the benders. $399 and it mounts right to the bender for repeat bends. I was going to start a new tread on it but I have not had time to make the video. I have been working on the new website that is going to have over 6500 new products for the off-road market. But if you want I can post a picture for you if you are needing a stop for your bender and that is a deciding factor. Thanks for the question an I look forward to working with you.

Any pics with 2" tubing? This is with 1.75" and it's tight on the JD die. I don't have a 2" die to see if they are the same width.

lgraham09-

I don't have a picture our bender with a 2" die on in but I know there are guys out there doing it with a 2" die using our bender. When we did our testing we tested with a Pro Tool 2" die.

FYI: Here is a picture of the Model 3 arm from JD2 the spacer that they use is 2 1/2". On the other side of the tape you will see our spacer that goes in to the Pro3 and the Pro4. It is also 2 1/2 ". So there is no reason that the 2" die from JD2 should not fit. Because at the end of the day we went off their specs.

On the other hand thanks for the picture. Guys wanted to know if it had the balls to bend 1 3/4". A picture is worth a thousand words.

My measures out at 2 5/16". The harwdware and spacers seemed kind of random on some parts but it is together. I ended using a socket for the strap pin since there wasn't another bolt for it.

It's bends 1.75x.120 just fine. I am going to be reinforcing this bolt with a tab right in the middle since it bends so much.

It does 180* just fine. I do need to re-pin it to get the last couple degrees for a perfect 90* due to spring back in the tube.

If yours are 2 5/16" I can send you out 2 1/2". I went into the bin to take a picture and it was 2 1/2".

As for the pin. The dies come with pins. If JD2 did not get you one you might want to give them a call on that. I have always gotten them from Pro Tool and JD2.

Great Idea- I will make a tab to goes in between that ram mounts to stiffen that up. I will draft that up and start shipping them with that improvement. I am always open to ideas how to make the product for the next guy. It is like the wheel, Goodyear is always trying to make it better and safer.

All in all i am glade to see that it is working for your tips will make a better product for those to come.

FYI: I see that you are not using the ball valve? It will allow more CFM's to pass threw and give you a faster bend.

Thanks, it is working out really good, way easier bending stuff up with only two hands. Don't worry about the sleeves, I don't bend any 2".

Those pics are when I first put it together and was testing it out.

Add that tab and something to hold the ball valve with and it will be a more complete kit. Some better pics of the assembled unit would have made it easier to get together with the hardware that is included. I ended up with some extras and some others I had to swap out for different length. All grade 8 hardware or better would have been nice.

Thanks again for the great product!
