Everlast IGBT Plasma cutters, Welders and Combo Welder deals

The word is officially out. Everlast welders has switched to a new IGBT technology on all of our welders, plasma cutters and multi-function units.

Welders - http://www.everlastgenerators.com/pr...tegory-61.html

plasma cutters - http://www.everlastgenerators.com/pr...tegory-57.html

multi-function units - http://www.everlastgenerators.com/pr...tegory-61.html

Why IGBT?

The Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) versus the Metal Oxide Semi-conductor Field Effect Transistor (MOSFET) debate has been raging since the introduction of the IGBT technology in the 1980’s.

Why is this relevant to welding? Well, the issues in developing lighter weight inverter based welders, which consume less power, are surrounded by the choice of these technologies. Transistors are foundational to creating the welding arc by serving as tiny micro switches that deliver the power to the work electrode. Endless volumes of technical information have been written on the use and selection of these transistors and the suitability of each to different application. But to put it in practical terms, IGBT technology for welding applications has been shown to better handle the rigorous demands that high duty cycles welders place upon them by offering higher voltage capacities and heat tolerances than the older MOSFETs. IGBT problems of the past have been resolved thanks to new and modern manufacturing technologies.

Typically, MOSFETs are not as well equipped to handle the severe heat and voltage stress placed upon them by the industrial welding environment. While MOSFETs have proved adequate when powering lower end welding equipment, they have proved to be deficient when meeting the demands of heavy duty welding environments.

As Everlast has grown and sought to meet the ever higher expectations of its own customers, the company has wrestled with its own concerns over the use of MOSFET and IGBT technology. While MOSFET technology will still have a small place in our welder line to provide an economical alternative for the hobbyist and enthusiast, Everlast seeks to address the needs of the professional welder and the welding industry in general by offering an all new line of IGBT based welding inverters.

We have a new color coded front control panel to make used AC/DC use simpler and quicker, upgrade to new ergonomic torches and even change our cases on some units.
The website will be updated soon, but we are taking orders now. IGBT Order on the sea right now and will be shipping to all cotumers very soon

A totally new product design.

See http://www.everlastwelders.com for more details and questions.

Back in 2008 We have imported over 200 of the new IGBT MIG, TIG, MMA and Plasma cutters and had great success with them in our internal and external testing.

Feel free to PM (private message) EVERLAST for a price quote. If you have any questions PM EVERLAST_SUPPORT or send an email to our support team via our website.

Few guys have asked me if we will have DC TIG's, and the answer is YES we will.
Meanwhile here are some pictures including PowerITIG 250.
PowerPlasma 60E is a commercial version.
We had great success with this machine in small fabrication shops.

For the couple that asked for more information, and we are still updating our website.

There was an independent review on weldingweb.com of the PowerCut 60. It looks like we will see quiet a few here soon as well.

See http://weldingweb.com/showthread.php?t=28935

Page 2 has pictures of the inside PlasmaPower60

Page 4 results of the test.

On the PowerCut60, we advertise a max cut of 1" but it can actually cut 1 1/4"

All of the PowerCut series units use quality Siemens made IGBT transistors and are pilot arc units.

I have a question about the plasma cutters.

The 60a shows the lightest material it will cut is 3/8
The 70a shows 1/32

Is that a typo ? Will the 60a cleanly cut lighter materials than 3/8 ?

That is a typo, sorry. On the thinner metal, a lot of body guys tell me they turn the air pressure down (35 PSI) and it will cut a lot cleaner than it will at 65+ I have not tried it myself yet with my 70 but plan too. On thinner metal, you want to use a guide and move quickly also.

So I talked with Alex today and he said you'll know what was on the container by Monday. Will you email me when you know. I'm on the list and still very very interested in purchasing the power ultra 205 or the dual voltage plasma.

Also Alex said I would pay full retail then do a review then receive 50% refund after I did the review: is this correct?

Container in port , we should get it on Monday

yes, we need to make sure people will actually do a review and not just get 50% on units
