That is pretty damn cool! Now if only there was a way to make it powered and bend thicker material but that would have to be one hell of a magnet

My 4816 Experience

Last year after watching the BB-4816M vids on YouTube and getting a personal email from Shane I did buy one of these. My stuff is mostly artistic, thinner gauge mild steel, but I wanted the flexibility of infinite throat depth. My concern was, "Could it REALLY do 16 gauge?" Shane assured me it could. I wasn't sure.

So after a couple of months, here's my two cents worth: Yup, it works. In fact, I am very happy. However, my lessons are that for 16 gauge, the more contact the better. If you are bending a small 2 or 3 inch piece of 16 gauge, don't rely on the various sized interlocking steel hold-downs that come with it. These work fine for thinner gauge, and are easy to use as they are usually kept in the handy dandy tool tray. But for 16 gauge, if possible, utilize the longer 4 foot bar that comes with the machine. Length = Strength is my new motto.

I give the BB- 4816M a 9/10. Nice machine. It was a great tool buy for me, and for artists I can't imagine a better choice. Below are literally my first efforts with some simple 16 gauge scrap boxes for my material rack.
