The Power I-TIG 250 DX is a new offering in the line of fully digital welders being released from Everlast. As usual, the IGBT design is the backbone of the units construction, and features DC output for Tig and Stick functions. This unit is designed for industrial and pipeline construction with adjustable hot start and arc force control, it is ideal for running tig root and 6010 root passes with 7018 cap passes with excellent performance characteristics in both TIG and STICK modes. In stick mode, low spatter and puddle controllability are evident as soon as the arc strikes, even with cellulose based rods. TIG arc is stable and smooth with no flutter.
Duty cycle is 60% @ 250 amps for TIG and 35%@ 250 amps for stick (60%@ 200). The I-Tig digital pulse welders will be available in 315, and 400 amp versions as well with similar duty cycles.
It is fully programmable with up to 10 memory programs. As a standard feature, DC Pulse and full featured 2T/4T remote and foot pedal allow complete control over the TIG weld resulting in the highest possible quality welds.
