Bendtech SM to Torchmate File

How can I make a Bendtech SM file work with the Torchmate Cad software? THe SM software saves it in a different file then .cdl as torchmate cad wants i think.

Thanks

It's gotta be possible cause solid works can be uploaded most of the time.

doesn't the BT software let you save the file as a DXF?

Yup just found how on the SM Software, but when I open the dxf in the torchmate cad software part of the part is seperated and moved to a different location from how its saved on the SM software now. Im confused...

it kind of sucks the DXF from BT software is separate lines. not a major deal but a slith pain to have to correct.

It would be nice if the BT software could machine it to a single piece or make it a single piece for converting.

I don't have it in front of me but I think you click on File - Export - then you can choose dxf or other files then.

Maybe Fabcam will chime in on this and give us all a lesson.....

Yep. When you "export" it gives you the option to export as dxf.

Even though it may look like a compleat part if you zoom way in in the corners you"ll see that its broken. that has to be fixed befor you export from BT or torchmate cad will skatter the piecess. Then export as DXF
