Torchmate CAD Lite Help
Howdy
I have recently purchaced one of you 2x2 machines, although I don't have it yet. I have started to mess around with the software. I have a question regarding the tool paths. In the images below you can see one of my drawings. My question is there seems to be a double tool path set up on this piece. I am not sure how I did this or how to fix it. I have read through your software walkthroughs on your website as well as the book the comes with the software as well as the help file included with the software. Just can't seem to figure out what I did or how to fix it. You can see in the first photo an overview of the piece and then a close up of the double tool path in second image. Thanks in advance for yor help.

Try pressing Alt+J to hide the tool path. If the original is still there select and delete that. Press Alt+J again and your tool path will reappear. If that does not fix it I don't know. I'm not a tech guy.

toolpath
I don't have a torchmate, I got a diff. table but it looks like the one is the original drawing and the second thicker line is the toolpath.
The toolpath shows cut width and it's too wide to follow some of the contures so it rounds them out. That's what mine does. |

Looks like one is the original and the other is the tool path. Save your work, then click on the thick one and press delete. Now you should see only your original again. You could also go to View and uncheck "Show Tool Path" and once again you should only see the original even though now the toolpath still exists in this case. Also, try playing with the Kerf width and you will see that toolpath appear thicker and not able to get all the way into tight corners.

That object appears to have two tool-paths on it, both a Male and a Female toolpath. Delete both toolpaths, check your show fill to make sure the part is being seen correctly (material fills in black, inside cuts are white) and then create a Male Toolpath on the Object.
A male toolpath will automatically recognize an inside cut and make it a female, so there is no need to do more than one toolpath. -Mike |

Alt j. The missing key
This is the first obstical I ran across when using my table for the first time. Was doing a hog operation on a maple address sign. I kept wondering what was happening when the machine obliterated the smaller letters. I figured it out eventually but knowing that alt j trick would have saved me the two days of frustration. Guess it pays to read...
