Lets see what you've built on your Torchmate
I thought it would be cool to see some of the stuff people have built using their Torchmate tables. I know it opened up a whole new world of possibilities and creativity for me. Lets see some of the cool stuff you've cut out.
I'll start with some shots from Mishka, and the KOH TJ

Here is a gate that I built for a customer in Texas. This picture doesn't show it, but the design turns 90* at the left side. I drew the design in two pieces so that the branches would wrap around the corner. Fit everything together in the outer frame and welded the corner together.
Edit: this was all cut from 1/4" Last edited by MQYJ; 01-17-2010 at 05:13 AM. |

In addition to the typical brackets, tabs, shackles..etc. I've been cutting "deskart" for buddies..
Most of this stuff is cut from 3/16" with a PM1250 and fine cut consumables.. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Here are some things around the office that customers have made with our machines and sent in to say thanks. The Torchmate sign in our lobby that sits behind Monica, our receptionist, was made by one of our customers and sent to us. The seascape scene is crazy. All cut from flat plate and bent. I love the 3D stuff. I have lots more that I will post up. It has always amazed me how creative people can be. I have never been much of an artist.

Here are some more. We have one guy that specializes in fish. There are a few examples he has sent us below. Also, our Torchmate X Gantries and Torchmate brackets come off of our own tables. Below are some examples of those too.

Call Joe at (866)571-1066, ext 100. He will put together a quote for you with everything you want. He will have questions for you to answer in order to make sure that you get the right table and plasma cutter. We offer different model 5x10's and plasma cutters depending on what you want to do. I don't have any plans for any big sales any time soon. Just trying to keep up at this point. Bill

More pic's of stuff around our office. First is the KOH plaque from last year. We are working on a new one for this years participants. There are also some other plaques we have done for NJXOR to put on their trophies. Also some name signs that a customer sent in to some of our people awhile ago.

The pictures really don't do them justice. That first one is actually about 4' long. Truly a work of art. I don't really know how he gets some of the colors that he does. I know that he uses heat for the blue, but not sure about the rest.

Here's a set of legs I made last night for a nascar race seat. I didn't make the seat and was sorry to disgrace the weld job on it with my aluminum tig skills.

This is the first thing I did on my table after the initial line speed tests. A friend of mine has a skate shop called hillbilly bombshell.

Been meaning to get pics of this one and finally got around to making the drive. My Uncle is a musician, with a thing for guitars, so I made him this lamp for Christmas. I found a nice clean line art image online and used the scan and trace wizard in TMCad to turn it into tool paths. Was actually a lot easier than I expected and came out great. Coolest part is when I gave it to him he laughed and told me he had been playing that same model of guitar at a show the previous night. It lives on top of a speaker in his recording studio now

Now that spider may be one of the coolest things I have seen in awhile. How about we work a little trade for a couple of those?
Note to all of you. I love trading product for cool, creative things cut on our machines. Don't be shy about posting things up here. It could land you a deal. Realize though that I have seen an awful lot of crazy things made. It takes real creativity to impress. I love the 3D things like that spider.

This is what I'm working on. Carriage and gussets for a bridge crane I'm putting together for my shop.
I had planned to just make templates to trace with the plasma, but now with the table the quality will step up quite a few notches.
