Starting My Downdraft Table
here are some pics of my table build. most of this was built from scraps i got from work. still got front to put on it. gonna put some expanded metal about half way up on inside to catch any small stuff that falls through. gotta get couple sticks of 1/8 x 2" flat for my slats. mount something for my control box. going to use laptop to run it. then slap a paint job on it. gotta figure out how i am going to mount my fan on it. gonna use one out of a air handler unit. i am looking for any input on where i need to mount my duct work on this. does it need to be up high or down low. any input would be greatly appreciated. my 2x2 will be here tuesday. days have been dragging by.

Nice! I would not worry to much about too high or too low on the duct. If the fan is pulling enough air it won't matter. We have used angle iron in the past mounted under the slats to help spread the air flow evenly across the bed as well. I will see if I can find a couple pic's.
