TM Cad question
Hi guys, I was wondering if any of you could help me... here is my problem, when I import things in to TM cad that are not square it fills in the space between them and the binding box with white that you cant see threw. When I try to over lap edges to put many scans together this is a problem. Any one out there have any ideas on how I can make this area clear so I can see my other images.

sounds like the part layer you are working with is the all white layer. At the bottom of the TM Cad screen there is a row of buttons, select all of the pieces on your screen and then Left click on it and right click on it. This should set the layer of the part to all black, and with the show fill turned on should fill it in black. If you turn off the show fill in the Torchmate CAD software under the View menu, it should go to a wire frame with black frame.

You are referring to Scan's as bitmaps that you are scanning in from picture files or from a scanner? I see what you mean.
This process is not available in Torchmate CAD Lite, just as a prerequisite. When a bitmap comes into the software it's still a bitmap, it doesn't automatically make it into a "Vector" file that is lines defined by points, or "nodes", it is still a picture based on pixels. In order to convert a scanned object into a vector image, you have to perform a Scan on it with the Accuscan tools in Torchmate CAD. Rather then try and explain it in a post, I'd rather refer you to the section in the Torchmate CAD Users guide as all relevant information and step by step instructions are right there with pictures to walk you through. In the Torchmate CAD users guide (off the Drivers and Assembly Instructions CD) on page 53 it walks you through it. |

I know about that I was just wondering if it was possible, and you have answered my question.... it can't be done. No big deal I will use other software to put them back together and then in they go. Thanks
