Motor Guard

Do any of you use the Motor Guard plasma in line air filter? If so what are your thoughts or recommendations?

I use their stuff in painting applications and couldn't be happier. Had a warranty issue and they were "on it" without hassle.

I just bought one yesterday. I am setting it up this afternoon. The guy told me you can even use a roll of toilet paper for an element if you are waiting for your replacements to come in. That was the deal maker for me.

I have an M-26 and I like it. I wish I had a better water separator in front of it though. I have been looking at the PCP Group Air Dryer from plasmaspider.com to put in front of it.

I wish the salespeople would not recomend using toilet paper in the Motor Guard filters. TP disolves in water (over time) and allows all kinds of little paper particles to get in your air lines.....and into the plasma system. Solenoid valves, orifices, torch plungers, start cartridges do not like these particles.....and often have to be replaced!

The Motor Guard filters work great as a particulate filter, and for small amounts of compressed air moisture....but only when the proper filter element is used!

Well I am glad you cleared that up for me Jim. I'll order replacements as soon as I install the last cartridge.
Actually, that's why I mentioned it here. I wanted to see if anyone had an intelligent response to the practice. Your input has been most appreciated and I will pass on your recommendation to my local salesperson.

Thanks
