dross problem

I am new at this so bare with me

I have a 2x2, powermax 600 with machine torch, good dry air. I am cutting 10 ga hot rolled steel 50 ipm at 45 amps. I have tried several heights, speeds and amps on the torch and I am getting to much dross, by to much I mean it looks like a very fine weld bead all the way around and this is at 50 and 45. I am using a dryer 30amp 220 volt outlet (temp). Could this be my problem?

three more dumb questions
1. where do I set arc voltage?
2. where do I adjust pierce delay?
3. will I be able to upgrade a 2x2 to a 4x2?

thanks in advance

I'm new here too. But I can answer this one for you. Yes you can. Torchmate now sells a 2x2 to 2x4 upgrade for about $500. I just bought my 2x2 and that's what they told me. =)

2. where do I adjust pierce delay?
To adjust your pierce delay go into configuration, m-code definitions,And you will see the delay column in line 1 and highlight the number and set accordingly. This is all done in the driver program and not torchmate cad.
I will know more about arc voltage after wednesday when i pick up my new torchmate x 5x10!
