This is my first post on Pirate so I figured why not here. I've been trolling the boards for a wile now starting my fab shop. Reading about TorchMate here made me choose them. I just picked up a 2x4 table and I love it Andy even gave me a tour of the shop when I picked up my machine to show the process of the builds. Everyone at TorchMate has been great with tech support with my set up. We had some licensing issues with CAD and had to get a new Dongle shipped and Dennie offered to set up all my new DXF files that didn't have torch paths yet and make any little tweaks needed to the parts just so my cutter wouldn't be down wile waiting for my new dongle.

All I can say is TorchMate customer service is top notch I know the merge is still fresh but you guys are great in my book.

Congrats on the Merge

A little shot of my table during my water table build thanks guys.

Correct. We continue to sell and support Hypertherm, Thermal Dynamics along with the new Lincoln plasma cutters.

We do offer Lincoln financing on all of our Torchmate machines. Just ask your sales person for details. They can forward an application and decisions are usually pretty quick.

Old thread, I know, but I just got the news and find the whole thing really interesting.

Forgive me if I'm out of line here, but I am curious about the valuation that was achieved. Judging by my rough calculations, based on an average price/sales multiple for Lincoln Electric and Illinois Tool Works (owner of Miller Electric), I'm estimating that you/your family cashed in somewhere between $17M - $19M on the sale? Was it a pure cash or cash and stock transaction? Did the deal pertain any kind of earn-out provisions? Did you retain any kind of equity stake in the company - minority interest, call option, etc?

How has the relations between the two companies evolved since the closing of the acquisition? Have you been able to utilize Lincoln's wide-reaching distribution and sales network? Have you met or exceeded the budgeted financial goals, if any? I assume the company is being run as a separate entity (subsidiary), or has the operations of the two companies been merged? Did you retain your managerial position, board representation, etc? Did Lincoln approach you for the deal? Were any kind of financial advisors or investment bankers used in the transaction?

Regardless, I congratulate you and your family with a great achievement, and wish you and your new parent company the best going forward.

Seriously Do you really think they're just gonna publish all of that info just for your curiosity's sake?

I agree with Ayra.....Seriously????

How much money do you make? How much do you have in your checking account? What is your net worth??? Is it liquid or tied up?

Yeah, I get that Lincoln is a public company, but to ask how much he gained from the deal is personal information.
