I had $700 in a ford aspire, I drove it for 18 months and sold it for what I had in it.

It doesn't have to be a late-model. Early-'80s Plymouth Horizon ( FWD 4-door 4-cylinder ) for $300, just needs heater core. ( And the car needs washed, vacuumed, tires, belts, hoses, replace all the fluids, et cetera )
But why bother? '87? Isuzu pickup, 4-cyl, 5-speed, needs fuel strainer, $650. I'm tempted to grab that one for myself. |

I did that a couple months ago, just up and started looking for a little DD beater, found a 90' Festiva for $500. So far it's saving me about $300 a month from what I was spending driving my ctd.

is that also bolted/welded to the floor?
i do not believe the strut bolts will hold that much weight.

If the goal is to make it removable, maybe weld some angle down to the floor and have it bolt into that or something. Relying on facory spot welds for that front bar over the spare well is kinda sketchy. The whole thing is actually awesomely sketch but at least give it a safe shot

It's a fuckin Geo metro! How much damn weight do you think its really going to pull? Much less stop! LOL
I say add a bunch of weld plates with nuts welded in and bolt that bitch in. It'll be fine. Cool Metcharo BTW.
