my $1900 tow rig

I now have $2025 into it with some tires and cleaning......4hrs of clean up and matinenance time

It was on the way to work (1mi) and was there with anohter truck....turns out the guy is getting rid of 7 farm trucks os he don't care how cheap.......the only thing wrong was the chitty tires it had...second gear grinds and farm dust......it has 27k on a rebuilt 460 and it's a 250 hd

yes ZF tranny.......supposedly it really never went over 35mph too often....was towing farm equipt around at slow speeds (2nd gear) so what's why its 1/2 out

the paint is worn a little in the high traffic areas but the only dents are in the taligate

From my experience, the synchros suck in those trannies. Both the 5 and 6 speeds. Learn to double clutch.

I had a truck almost identical to that but it was blue and white and it was an 88 (dont know what year yours is) I got it for $1000...anyway you look at it its a great find...mine towed great as I'm sure yours will too...good find

almost got you beat....

My cheap tow rig...'95 F-250, 4" lift, xlt, 460, auto, a/c, power doors & locks, $2000. It was a theft recovery a friend of mine bought at an insurance auction. I had the rims/tires laying around...glad I didn't have any takers awhile back in the for sale section 'cuz it turns out I needed 'em.

What kind of tires did you end up putting on it? I can see why you want my rims........ Don't know if you know this but in this months issue of Four Wheeler, National Tire and Wheel has the black rockcrawlers in 16x10 for 65 bones...Type 51 I think. Unless you got somewhere locally that you can get em.

I got a local shop I'm buddies with for the about the same on the rockcrawlers....I ended up painting the stock rims black for hte moment which made an inprovement, the tires are 285 bfg all terrains for $120 w/ about 50 tread
