flat bed conversion

Anyone know of any laws on converting a pickup bed to a flat bed?

Reg changes?

anyone had problems loading a rig on a flatbed and hauling it?

This would be on a F350 dually, and rig would weigh about 3k.

Oh yeah, in CA

Dean has sides on his when he has his rig on the back. The sides are his ramps. Any other time I've seen his truck he didnt have the sides. Dont know about the registration thing though, Im gonna have to deal with it sometime down the road. I'm doing the same thing. Tony K's is just like Deans except his is a crew cab, as opposed to Deans extended cab. I got pics if you wanna see em. I think you could find them by searching under thier name easier though.

His is a 2wd pickup and I dont think it uses ramps at all cuz the bed is so damn low and built just for his rig.

As for Deans, I know hes got like 102"WB on 38s(I think) so do the math.

gradys rig hauler

So is there a picture of Grady's rig hauler that can be posted?
Or is there a web site that has a picture of it?
I have been thinking along the same lines.
That would allow me to pull a trailer along with it.

Thanks Gary
