Okay, here in town, you can't find a decent CTD 3500 to save your soul, so I had to check the stealerships.

Found a 2001 3500 4x4, SLT, Auto, 70K miles, cloth, nothing special, "white", has goose ball so it towed. Now comes the shocker. They list it at $26,877.00!!! Now I know they are smoking crack, but what should I offer to really try to get a real price on this thing.

i would offer 20.000
would guess you can drive it home for 22.000
thats all i would give

The truck has "low" miles. So its pretty much a premium truck. I bet they get about 24 to 25 grand for it. That is, if the truck is mint.

The truck has "low" miles. So its pretty much a premium truck. I bet they get about 24 to 25 grand for it. That is, if the truck is mint.

I know in the Cummins world, 70K is low miles, but the rest of the rig (esp. the Auto trans.) has quite a few miles. I guess I will stop at 22K...take it or leave it. Thanks all.

The Dodge dealer near me in Sac awhile back had a new 03 3500 reg cab, 4wd, CTD, auto, power everything for 28,995. Keep shopping.

The dealership were I work is selling this one for $30K, I think we have $26,500 into it.

If you offer less than they have into it, you won't get it, simple as that.
