I SWORE I wouldn't put a 'lift kit' on my truck, but...

... I never said I wouldn't put a suspension kit on it!

I've got a KORE (formerly known as T-Rex engineering) desert racing suspension kit on it's way for the Dodge. It's a minor lift, and comes with bling bling KORE Proprietary Weld 18" rims that have OEM backspacing. Here's whay she'll look like once I install the kit -

I do. That's just a pic I stole off their website.

Dan, it's a 2.5" lift. I will be running Toyo 35's. 37's are too big, and I USE my truck a LOT, so they are impractical.

Here are the stats for their kits (found here - http://koreperformance.com/products.htm)

KORE offers three performance suspension systems for the big Dodge Trucks.

Each system offers you:

*50% more available wheel travel to absorb large impacts
*Much higher speeds when the pavement ends
*Increased stability while hauling and towing
*A more comfortable road ride
*Levels of control you never thought possible
*Protection for your truck’s chassis and drivetrain
*Fitment of 35x12.5 inch off-road tires
*Easy installation with no cutting, welding or fabricating
*Lifetime performance

KORE offers pace-setting performance with the “Pace” front suspension system. This system effectively “levels” your Ram by raising the front to match the rear height. This outstanding entry-level suspension system significantly enhances articulation, provides a smooth ride, and a higher load rating for towing/snow plowing. The “Pace” system also introduces you to intermediate off-road capabilities. This system includes the revolutionary KORE long-travel coil springs and a pair of excellent zinc-plated, nitrogen-charged, mono-tube Bilstein 5100 Series shocks. These coils and shocks are guaranteed for life. New purchasing has enabled KORE to sell these kits complete for only $350.

The KORE “Chase” system offers the same great coil springs of the “Pace” system and much more. The “Chase” system is a complete front to rear component group that replaces your Ram’s original equipment suspension. The foundation of this system the renowned Bilstein 7100 Series remote-reservoir racing shock equipped with digressive pistons and special, proprietary KORE valving. It is called the “Chase” system because it enables your Ram to perform the multiple functions of a Baja chase vehicle. From heavy towing to long-distance washboard, this system provides dramatically increased control and smoothness in all conditions. Our Chase system is best for people who need excellent, general-purpose suspension for hauling loads, heavy towing, long distance highway travel, and serious off-road, such as exploring trails, hunting etc. “Chase” suspension addresses freeway expansion joint bounce as much as possible. This system costs $2500.

The KORE “Race” system is identical to the “Chase” system but uses massive 2.5” diameter Fox Pro-Series remote-reservoir racing shocks. These shocks are huge, high-performance dampers that are designed for continuous extreme use in the most demanding environments on earth. With 7/8” diameter, stainless-steel shafts and 10” remote reservoirs, nothing can beat their performance. Want to drive the Alcan at 70mph? Want to drive down the entire Baja peninsula – off road? This is the system for you. This system is a no-compromise, fully-integrated, ultra-high-performance suspension system, purpose-built for maximum off-road performance. It’s big and bad and awesome. With this system you will experience performance formerly reserved for professional off-road racers. Men who spend a lot of time in the dirt love this system, but it works great on the highway as well. To accompany this system we recommend heavy duty off-road tires and lower tire pressures. This system costs $3500.

With any KORE suspension system you can run 35x12.5 tires with no clearance issues. For the ultimate in performance and looks KORE recommends the special KORE/Weld wheel. This is an 18x8.5” Weld Racing, forged, one piece aluminum wheel KORE designed specifically for the big, eight-lug Dodge trucks. It is hubcentric for Dodge hubs and has the same backspace as the Dodge OE wheel, so your wheel-bearings and steering components won’t wear out prematurely and your tires won’t stick out of the fenderwells. This beautiful custom wheel costs $500.

Although KORE does not sell tires, KORE recommends you equip your Weld wheels with 35x12.50R18 Toyo Open Country Mud Terrain tires. These tires are quiet, long wearing and, most importantly, E rated – like the tires that came with your truck.

Ive ridden in a T rex/KORE suspension equipped truck, and I have to say, it rides just as good as my stock truck does... but you gain 2.5" of lift.. Just don't expect it to ride better than stock, and Im sure you'll love it.

I don't tow a 5er, Shaffer does. I only tow a 16' car hauler, and sometimes a 32' car hauler...

Oh yeah, the bling showed up today.

We'll find out since I have a 11' Lance, and a 16' trailer.

I'm planning on installing it after Xmas. Too much going on right now to mess with it. I just recieved the tires yesterday. The dumbass delivery guy got stuck in my driveway.

prob neither,

I went to this one house in Georgetown with driveway sooo steep my car almost didnt make it, not due to the tires spinning but due to the grade of it, it had about 6" of gravel on it and was about 300 yards straight up. He said get a running start and full throttle all the way up, i was down to a creep by the time I made it to the top.

Kore recommends the Toyo open country M/T's. Which are an E rated tire.
