1997 CTD Price Check
I looked at a 1997 Dodge 3500, 4x4, dually, club cab, with the Cummins Turbo Diesel today. It has 230k miles on it and is in satisfactory shape for the miles and year. Not what I would call super clean but not clapped out. he wants 11K for it. oh and trans replaced at 185k and brand new tires (6). Is this reasonable? Also a co-worker informed me a loan may be hard to obtain due to the mileage. true or not?
I looked on Autotrader and I found some better deals(I think) so I wanted to run it in the forum here for other opinions. I searched but nobodys price checks were quite close to my subject vehicle.. thanks for your help! |

Bank's are smart.
I don't care what the BB value is on it, or if it is a CTD it has 230K on it, that would be fine if you were paying a couple grand for it and then you could spend 5k fixing shit over the next couple of years. But 11K is a whole lot of cash, what if the motor pukes? rebuilt tranny probably on it's way out too.
