onan generator question.
i just bought a older ('86) motorhome several weeks ago and i am getting it ready for it's first run next weekend. ever since i first bought it when i first start the generator it will sit there and surge for 15-20 seconds and then level out and run normal. well yesterday i was out working on the motorhome and cranked the generator up so i could run the a/c and when it started it never quit surging. the rpm's run up then drop of back and forth. anyway i have no small engine experince so i am just looking for some ideas of what to look for. thanks

never mind. it took me all of 5 minutes to figure out. the idle was just set too low. i adjusted it just a tad and all is well.
