5.4L to V10?
My '99 F250SD 4wd with 5.4L (and 4R100) is getting tired. I really don't need the added expense of a Diesel for the towing I do. Looking at a crate motor replacement. Transmission seems fine so far.

What about dropping in a V10? What all has to change to go to a V10?

As I understand, I'll be legal (NC) as long as it was an option in that model year? BTW, over 8600# is exempt from emissions testing here I just have safety inspection.
