'03/'04 Chevy Fender Flares....

...the black ones that typically come on 4x4's.... do they come off easily? i.e. can you just removed them, and little buffing and you'd never know?

In the market for a new rig and I'm *almost* finding what I want, but a couple of the close candidates have the ugly black flares on them and I think they look like ass on a white rig (white for work). I would prefer it just sheet metal.

I've seen body colored flares, but that would be a fair chunk of $$ to have them painted or swapped that I'd rather but into more useful things like storage or tuner...

I know, kind of a lame question, but since I don't have one (yet) I have to ask somewhere.

yes, they come off fairly easily.

remove push lock clips in fender egde, top edge is held with double sided tape. usually comes off fairly easily 30 min tops, maybe some minor adheasive removal with brake cleaner

I replaced a body colored flare on my 03 1500HD after someone hit me. Mine did have double sided tape at the top, not sure when or in what cases they used it. Not a hard job

Sweet! thats what I wanted to hear.

I suspected that was the way there were held on but for all I knew they had holes in the fenders. I'm not going to sweat it one bit then in my truck search... now just to find the right truck with all the options I do and don't want

to you guys!
