I cant remember the exact method to measue tongue weight with the trailer loaded. I want to put marks or tire chalks for the front tires. When I was coming home from wheelin yesterday I had the jeep too far forward and I think it affected the pull on hills.

weigh your tow rig without the trailer then hookup the trailer and weigh just the tow rig again the increase is the amount of tounge weight

I thought there was a way with a pivot, a lever, and a household scale.

A 4x4 peice of wood, a bathroom scale, and a brick. Lay the 4x4 across the brick and scale, then let the tongue down on the peice of wood, preferably in the middle. Take your reading and...... Now I have a serious brain fart and can't remember if you divide, or multiply by two to get your answer.....
