Tranny temp guage

I am trying to figure out if the GM tranny temp guage that is an option on the newer Chevys, is a bolt on, or does the whole instument cluster need swapping? The dealership was less than helpfull today, Errr.

Well, I would guess that it's part of the whole cluster. Trying to picture mine & I'm not picturing an "add-on" gauge. BTW, I think it's standard, rather than optional.

Thanks! I figured that, was just hoping someone around had actually seen for sure one way or the other. The dealer that I contacted wasn't in a mood to look in the computer for anything. Oh well, I ordered a 2" guage, and will get to have the fun of figuring out a location to mount it.
