2000 Dodge 2500 V10 p/u - hubs wont lock
I just picked up this 2000 Dodge 2500 V10 P/U last week. Has a Dana 60 front, Dana 80 hybrid rear, NV4500, NV241HD transfer case.
However when I put it in 4WD Low the transfercase will go into low gear but the front hubs wont lock. Anybody have any ideas??? Thanks, Last edited by woody99; 10-31-2002 at 11:02 PM. |

I think the Dodges use a vacuum system to engage the front... I'd check that first.

Eskimo is right, Dodges have a solenoid that operates a sliding coupler on the front right side axle tube. Check the wires and vacuum tube connections first. Then I would check the fork and coupler next.
