1999 1500

Hey guys, my ram 1500 has been acting up lately, and i have almost zero dollars to fix it... here are my symptoms, and in advance i appreciate any help you may provide

Ticking noise while accelerating above 60mph, gets louder and more violent until i slow down. Occurs mostly when going up hill. Check Engine light flashes. Never occurred while idle. When towing, even more notifiable. Are codes locked in the computer when it flashes?

Codes are in the ECM yes. Get the codes and that would be more helpful.

Check engine light was flashing? That is a bad sign, on is something basic flashing is bad news. Pull codes and see where you are at.

130K is nothing on a LSx motor, hard or not. they are 250K mile engines. That being said is this a 99 classic with a 305 or 350 or a GMT800 with a 4.8 (294 CU In)or 5.3 (327 Cu in), If it's a 318 someone slapped a POS dodge motor in there on you.

Well seeing how in his first post he said it was a Ram, I don't know why your talking about LSx engines.
