New Cummins Dodge
While I was in portland I saw a new Cummings Dodge, I had to really listen to hear the damn thing, I almost thought it was a gas motor it was so quite..
I kinda looked it over really quick. Not really impressed with dodges new grill. My PS did awsome, 500 plus miles to the tank with 1/4 left over blah blah blah..

I can't wait to not hear them. My 2001 is soooo loud that I already have the green light to trade it in on a new one. I'm just not sure I want a first year run. I muight wait for the 2004's

I've seen one here in Carson a few times. And I had the same response as steve. "Wow that is the weirdest sounding v8 I have ever heard??" only to hear the faint but unmistakable diesel sound as he pulled away from the stop light. Very cool.

I've driven a variant of all the new diesels, both in 6-speed and auto (except for a d-max/6-speed...impossible to find on a lot)
The Dodge, BY FAR, has the better 6-speed than the Ford. That Ford tranny & clutch was a POS compared to the dodge.. much easier to find the gear you want, and the clutch didn't take that much effort to push. The new Dodge HO is a nice engine, even if it doesn't move very well below 2k unloaded... I think the engine spins up too fast for the turbo...that should change under load... Diesel Dynamics has the new H.O at over 550hp and 1000lbs-ft torque already... they did 444/839 rear-wheel with just a computer and injectors! I'm leaning towards the Dodge right now for my new rig.. We'll see how many people have problems with them....
