Guessing a good offer came along, and it was easier to focus on the move to AK without thinking about how to get the truck finished?

Someone in offroad racing (will we see the completed truck at any events?)

my rot is floor to cieling, 4-6 feet wide on both sides above the wheelwells. If I've got to cut that much to fix it I'll just cut it off and build the flatbed I want.

Yeah it was actually a heck of a lot easier than I had imagined. filled out some paperwork and payed my $300 (plates, taxes, registration) and a quick visual inspection. They didn't even go inside, didn't care that the wiring wasn't finished and that the propane wasn't hooked up. Just saw that it had some shit in it and let 'er rip.

It should be running better now. Got the timing set to 19*, tightened the gov springs 3 clicks, and adjusted the fuel screw. The test drive is yet to come.
If I may offer a couple parts suggestions. A fan clutch, and rad cap, I forgot to mention that yesterday. The fan clutch they used in those arent all that great. The top of the line stuff is made by Horton. It's the ARB air locker of fan clutches. It freewheels until the set temp kicks it on, then it's locked on. No slippy like the old style.

Ok, Took the truck out for a test drive today and found Massive Amounts of power increase. I say massive because anything over what it was is a HUGE improvement.

After Nevrenufhp came over to the house for the tuneup, I figured that it would be ok at best, but it really does make it much more enjoyable to drive. I am going to do an Intercooler and injectors from him next and suggest anyone with this motor do the same.

He's a super nice guy and made the truck perform much better, and even gave it more MPG. Crazy what someone can do with a few tools and no need for parts.

In other news, I have the living quarters almost done. Need to take pics, been pretty busy tieing up all my loose ends around here and building the trucka nd prepping for the move.

The truck runs completely off it's own power, batteries, inverter, etc. I think the Converter is broken however, or maybe I wired it wrong, not sure. Can't run the shore line to power my 12v lights yet...

All the holes are cut into the box for power, vents, access, etc

All the interior is panelled, braced, and all wiring is done minus the converter issue. The only thing I need to do is the list below...

Put in Carpet
Fix two holes in Roof
Cut in Pass Thru (Which will be very well documented)
Run shitter vent
Finish shitter line (outside stuff)
Place in Anchor points for Buggy Tie Downs
Finish putting new seats in place
Pack and GTFO of Dodge

I was going to try and fit in the cab and sleeping area over the top of the truck cab itself, however I am running out of time and funds to do it correctly and proper. So I will leave that to when I get up there....

Other than that, here is a few pics and I should have many more tomorrow...

Nice, good to see it coming along.

Good job on the girlfriend, she looks happy about the camper progress too.

one more...

The Battery Box hold 2 6volt batteries from Interstate. they are awesome, and the power I am getting from them goes crazy long.

It helps that I run Floresent (sp?) lights as they give lots of light with little draw on the battery.

Nice work! I'm really looking forward to your posts when you cut the pass through from the cab to the box.

ok, updates. Since all the passes were requiring chains and such on the trip to AK, i decided it may not be worth taking it. I had a buyer for the racetruck and if i took the box truck to AK it would be to bring 3g's worth of crap and the trip would take atleast 3g's to make it in fuel and expenses. So i decided to sell the box truck with the race truck as a package deal. The new owner is jeremy dickenson and he is a racer. He has plans to continue the build and use the truck for the same reasons i was planning to. Sucks to sell all of it, but it's nice having some pocket cash before a big move.

I agree, Ive been wanting to build a truck of the same configuration, I have a 93 4900 with a dt466 shop truck, well ex digger derrick, big crane. Using Nevrenufhp's site was able to make it get up and go alot better. Sure appreciate the info.

I also have a 83 flatbed dump with a 6.9, not much power but its easy on fuel, so im just going to leave it alone.

Thanks sirrr. It's a site that's there to help. It's coming to an end though, the site host says I use too much badwidth, and is threatening to cancel me. It'll still link to the new site I just bought with my gas money a couple weeks ago. Fuelrate.net, which isnt up & running just yet.
The market will soon be opened up to extrude honed injector nozzles, kustom ECM work on the 466E/530E, turbo choices, and custom pillar pod mounts for the 4300-7400 IH's. Full size radiator swap to eliminate the junky split rad/intercooler deal. Yes, pretty much everything I'd be selling is not CA smog friendly.
Imagine how nice your 93 would be with a little bit bigger injectors & a little more timing.
