well time for some new tires

well today started out great...

I went and got the rear 6 tires mounted ( which took almost 5hrs ) but hey they are done

then I took bus home and prepped it for paint and then got it all painted so the painting is done but 2hrs after I got done painting a damn rain storm came so now we wait till tomorrow to see if the paint was dry enough

well the paint is destroyed

now I need to wet sand it all again and tape and repaint it.. but bad news is.. not before our vacation in 2 weeks.. just no time so I will just deal with a crappy paint job on one side for a while..

this SUCKS

Ken, you sure it can not be cleaned up with a little compound and polish? I have been able to fix all kinds of shit doing it.

I messed with it some more and looks like I may be able to polish out most of the paint

but there are a few ares like the front that will need re-paint.. no biggy.. it is just time and money.. but it can wait till the fall.

well since i am adding a new to me generator I need to make a tray for it to sit in

next is to make some feet to bolt it to floor of bay and then work on getting gen installed

well thank to Blackbear we got generator installed and working and actually powering bus so for the first time we had a/c while driving to vacation.. wow that was so much better then sweating my butt off

I also met up with guy that makes onsite windshield covers and had one made for the front window..

not yet.. I want to get paint fixed on passenger side then we will decide.. also want to polish the bottom too

it all depends on how complete you want it.. I have seen empty shells buses from $5000 to completed one at $100,000 but right now it is a buyers market and if you search bus forums you will see them going for some great prices..
