An FJ Cruiser section? I didn't know there was enough tech related to carrying groceries to warrant it.

I bought one as my tow rig
It's the wife's grocery getter when I'm not using it to tow or flogging it. It's the Titanium Silver with the alloys and the rear locker. I didn't want to spend the $$ for the upgrade package just to get the A-trac sytem so I bought the switch afterwards and plugged it in....and it works. Don't spend the money for upgrade package #2 if all you want is the A-Trac system. Just purchase the switch from the dealer for 45 bucks. It doesn't do too bad in the tow department, I was pulling 75mph up the Fresh Pond grade coming back from the Con. It's nice to have the same power as a 5.0 in a v6.

A-Trac hack (how to hook it up if you didn't pay for it...) A-Trac and Rear Locker simultaneously... Bypassing the Vehicle Stability Control (for two wheel fun...) Clearancing the front body mounts for bigger tires... and I could go on with all the companies now making sliders, bumpers, skid plates, lift kits, etc.... it's not too bad for a grocery getter.

Easy there Mr. multiple personalities, take your CJ5 wheelbase RV and haul your ass over to the "which vendor is better" 4 Runner section so you can answer the same question over & over again.

wow, i thought the only place an FJ owner could buy stuff was at walgreens in the intimate care section???
![]() I really do enjoy seeing new FJ's that have been lifted and upgraded, and really like seeing them off road, kind of like this ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Lugab0ehZM http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...30796904877032 IIRC same driver.

FJ Cruiser on the 'Con?
I heard rumor that some yuppies from So-Cal(that's the cool insider way of saying L.A.) went and bought themselves a spiffy new FJ Cruiser with all the bells and whistles and up and decided to try it out the next day on the Rubicon(by themselves, never having even owned a 4-by before). They drove all the way up I-5 and somehow manged to find their way to the trail. By the time they got yarded all the way out, the rig was completely totalled. Any truth to this? Any pics?

There wasn't a straight piece of sheet metal left on it by the time they made rubicon springs. Marlin himself drug the remains up cadillac hill. Guy turned it into his insurance and they totalled it. Bentup.com bought it and are planning a SAS for it.
