Companies that will SAS a FJC
I know allpro toyed (pun intended) around with making a sas kit, but now only offers the sas service in house. Any other companies that offer this service or a kit to do this ?
Im thinking about consolidating rigs. Five, down to Two (that work) ![]() EDIT: also if anyone has a rough cost post it up or PM me. Thanks ! Last edited by 3vze; 11-27-2008 at 05:01 PM. |

I think I would buy a diy kit from somebody like Poly Performance and have at it. There front 3 link kit would likely work.

The rumor is that All-Pro *WILL* be eventually selling this as a kit.
If you're looking to do this, I'd seriously wait to consider their option fully. They're doing the Currie axle and I think they've solved the wheel sender issue. Without solving this, you'll be driving around with your check engine light on all the time.

Features such as ATRAC, VSC and the ABS all take information from a wheel speed sensor on each wheel.
If you disassemble the front end, you'll find a lead that goes to a single small sender that plugs into a hole in the back of the knuckle. I have no idea how many pulses per revolution or the voltage of the signal. Many of the solid axle swaps that have already occurred on FJ Cruisers have ignored this, so these features are defeated and the dashboard warning indicators (including the check engine light) are always on. My understanding is that the All-Pro system was being developed to incorporate either the stock sender or an equivalent.

Now, if you want to maintain the factory electronics (ATRAC, TRAC, ABS, EBD, VSC, etc.) you will need the wheel speed sensors. However, all the electronics are calibrated for 31" tires and they will react odd with larger (in my case 37") tires. Post swap (front and rear Diamonds) my wheel speed sensors are gone and I do not have a check engine light. The way I got around the wheel speed sensors was by wiring the speed sensor in the tcase directly to the skid control ecu so that the speedo gets a speed signal and the check engine light went away. I also use a Dakota Digital box to calibrate the input signal so my speedo is dead on. The MT FJC's already have a speed sensor in the tcase and are wired this way from the factory. The AT's are not wired this way and you will need to install a speed sensor in the rear of your tcase and wire it up.With respect to shops that can do your SAS -- Jason @ Demello Offroad did mine. We spent a lot of time on the design side to ensure proper geometry. My truck works incredible on the trail and is still very street-able. The other fab shop that has done a SAS on an FJC is Silly Fab. Last edited by sbechtold; 11-28-2008 at 08:05 AM. |

All Pro is no longer doing them in house, we will be offering a kit along with either the Hybrid axle or Currie Rock Jock 60. Its in the works now - hoping to have it available by end of summer
