They say theres strength in numbers. I know that the 6 or so SAS Fj's running aorund out there have all been checking this forum, and I also know that its not always eay to post up a build thread. So borrowing what i've seen on some other forums, how about a brif summary of your vehicle up here in this thread. Maybe it can become a sticky. A sort of directory of whos got what in the land of SAS FJ Cruisers, seeing that I dont think there is any two that are actually the same. It will also make it easier for people or future projects to ask questions and see what has worked or has not worked for those before them..

Photos - A pic on flat ground, and a flex pic or two. Lets not go crazy with the photos, maybe front and rear articulation photos, and one showing just general flat ground stance, preferably from the side of the vehicle.

Breifly describe

Engine
Trans
Suspension
Axles / Lockers / Gearing
Transfer Case/s
Tires/Wheels

And give some measurements

Frame Height (Center of frame looking from side)
Wheelbase (center of hub to center of hub f-r)
Roof Height (above B pillar not including roof rack)
Track (outside tire to outside tire)

All the other non mechanical mods, like armor, interior etc can be saved for a personal build up or if anyone has any questions for another thread. This way we can compare and have an easy tech reference for what works and doesnt in a sas build.

3 link rear. same link material/joints, limit straps and bump stops as front. Fox smooth body 10in shocks mounted to trailing arms, OME 420 springs. Rock Equipment Sway Bar

Still a work in progress but I have been pounding the pavement.
