It will be good to see more solid axle cars in the mod class, especially Toyota based. I plan on racing my 85 4runner in the race as well, on leaf springs of course!
I have been reading up in this forum to try to get ideas on how to go faster on leaf springs. Thanks for the ideas.

does werock even have a ftoy class anymore? Last couple of times I've checked event coverage there's been very few competitors in all of the classes and I cannot recall seeing a single ftoy.

Looking at event pics and score sheets, I haven't seen a ftoy class. Sure you could show up with your money and they'll let you run. I keep seeing "comp legal" popping up in this thread, which makes no sense if there are no longer ftoy comps.

There is and always will be a Formula Toy class you just need more than one Formula Toy to show to have it.

So it's just a lack of interest on the competitors part? Would make sense and parallel what the other werock classes are seeing in terms of participation.

I think a lot of it is money and location. When we ran the west series in 2010, 3 of the 5 comps were 18 hours away. The first event cost me a grand in fuel alone. We just couldn't afford to compete the last 2 years in Cali and Az. The Utah events were fine because they were "close", meaning 5-7 hours away. There is an event put on in Delta Ut every may that has adopted an ftoy class, and we usually have 2-4 show, depending on other events in the area.

I may be misreading it but in the EMC thread over in the comp forum it looks like Ftoys will be competing against all the Mod Stocks? I thought it was a separate class?
